I’m also a proud college student at Old Dominion University, balancing my education with my passion for growing Kayla’s Cakes & Bakes. My love for baking began in the kitchen with my grandmother, who—along with my mother—taught me the foundations of baking and the most important ingredient of all: love. Although my grandmother has passed, her lessons, values, and memory remain at the heart of everything I create. Every time I step into the kitchen, I carry those foundations with me and pour the same care and love they taught me into every cookie, cupcake, cake, brownie, and cinnamon roll I bake.
